Caro Kelley

Caro Kelley is a German-American musician based in Munich.

Growing up playing classical piano in Ohio, by the age of 20 Caro was studying jazz piano and was already an accomplished big band singer, performing with jazz bands around Ohio and Kentucky. She picked up her first stringed instrument in 2018 when she taught herself to play the banjo. She has lived everywhere from Arkansas to Vienna and her musical style is genre-bending, combining her soulful, jazzy vocals and love of folk with a live, indie-rock sound.

Caro’s debut album “Playroom” is set to be released in September 2022, with funding and financial support from the Initiative Musik. She was featured in 2021 as Band der Woche in the Süddeutsche Zeitung, and will be featured in the SZ Sound of Munich in November 2022.

Caro has played at the LMU Sommerfest, StuStaCulum, the Munich Sessions Sommerfest, Corso Leopold, the Roofs Festival, and throughout Munich. She is a member of the Munich based bands Malon Way and Peter and the Lost Boys and a collaborator with fellow Munich musicians Mirror Lane, Caitlin Dalton, and Nana Forest.
